It's Wednesday and that means its time for the PC game download site Direct2Drive to offer up a new set of games on sale for just $6 as part of its sixth anniversary this month. From now until next Wednesday, the list of games that are on sale for $6 each include Zombie Pirates, Fallen Earth, Sid Meier's Pirates, SWAT 4, Disciples II Gold, Frontlines Fuel of War, King's Bounty: Armored Princess, Fort Zombie and Crayon Physics Deluxe.

In addition for today only, Direct2Drive has put The Sims 3 on sale for $19.95 along with the expansion pack The Sims 3 Ambitions for #14.95.

The King's Bounty series of turn-based fantasy strategy-RPG games just got a new addition. Publisher 1C Company just announced plans to release King's Bounty: Crossworlds, the second stand along expansion in the series developed by Katauri Interactive.

This game, due out in the third quarter of 2010, will actually include the last stand alone expansion, Kings Bounty Armored Princess. It will also have two new campaigns, one in an arena setting with boss battles and the other with random enemies and allies in tactical arenas. it will also contain seven new quests along with new spells, items, monsters and more. It will also include some kind of game editor for the first time in the series.

Can't afford to buy the Nexus One? Then maybe you should bypass the Google Phone and try out the new PC game download deals over at both Steam and Direct2Drive. Both PC game download sites have some early week sales on their sites. Even Colt McCoy can't argue with these deals (that's our favorite new name, by the way).

Steam has a mid-week deal on all of the game's in the King's Bounty fantasy strategy-RPG series. All the games in the series are now 75 percent off their normal price until Thursday. Meanwhile Direct2Drive has the indie game title AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity on sale for 50 percent off its normal price until Friday. Also Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War II is on sale for 50 percent off until Jan. 18. In addition a number of games on the site have seen some permanent price cuts. You can check them out right here.

Christmas Day means Steam users now have a new list of one day sales for PC games to check out during their annual holiday sales event. For the next 23 hours only six games have had their prices reduced by as much as 90 percent off their regular Steam rates.

Today those games include Red Faction Guerrilla and King's Bounty: Armored Princess for just $9.99 each, Resident Evil 5 for $24.99, and Battlefield 2: Complete Collection for a mere $7.49. In addition there are two indie games that can picked up for a mere pittance. Cogs is on sale for just $1.99 and if that's too much to pay the seasonal game Elf Bowling: Hawaiian Vacation can be your for just one dollar.

If you enjoyed the turn-based fantasy strategy-RPG King's Bounty: The Legend earlier this year, you will be happy to know that an add-on is in the works. Publisher 1C Company has announced plans for King's Bounty: Armored Princess, an expansion that's being developed by Katauri Interactive.

The Armored Princess is actually the new playable character in the expansion, Princess Amelie. She will be exploring new land and encountering new monsters in the add-on, including a new race called the Pangolin. Look for new spells and medals in the expansion along with a host of other new features including the possibility of turning your horse into a flying Pegasus. That's reason enough to get it. The expansion does not yet have a release date.
