King Arthur trailer brings druids to the fight

King Arthur is one of the better strategy games we've played, and its unique take on Arthurian legend is compelling. While most of the factions have been relatively normal, there are a few that do incorporate more fantastic and magical elements. The upcoming Druids DLC faction is one of these. Focusing on exploiting nature to their cause, the druids look to be a formidable force. Just watch this trailer if you doubt us. Lightning strikes, setting people on fire, and enchanted weapons seem to be the province of these druids, and that's certainly dangerous.

Publisher Paradox Interactive announced today that two downloadable expansion packs due out this month, Majesty 2 Monster Kingdom and King Arthur The Druids, have had their released dates pushed back until sometime in January 2011.

Paradox blamed the delay on a big fight at the Paradox Christmas party where "five Monsters and seven Druids ended up in hospital" (Hey, we have all been there and done that. Am I right ladies?). Paradox still has one more expansion pack due for release this year as Europa Universalis III Divine Wind is schedule to be released on December 14.

More info on upcoming King Arthur The Saxons expansion pack

Last April, developer NeoCore Games announced their plans to release two expansion packs for their recent RPG-RTS game title King Arthur but little info about the expansions were announced at the time. Now NeoCore has revealed more details on the first of the two expansions, The Saxons, which is scheduled for release "soon".

The expansion pack has a new single player campaign that has you taking on the role of the Saxon King that takes place during the timeline of the main title but designed as a separate story. Look for over 30 hours of gameplay in the expansion along with new hero units, a new sandbox gameplay mode and more.
