Feature: 2011 Console Games We Want To See On The PC

While 2011 already has a full slate of PC games schedule for release in the next year there are also a number of console exclusive titles that we think PC gamers would embrace as well. In fact some console exclusive titles for 2011 were originally announced as coming for the PC as well but apparently the publishers have changed their minds.

So which games for consoles would be worthy of showing up for the PC this year? We've picked 10 of them, ranging from first person shooter to third person action games to a couple of fighting titles. We also give our opinions on whether or not these games might actually show up on the PC one day.

Killzone 2 lead level designer joins Splash Damage

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars developer Splash Damage has been picking up some big-name talent at their UK-based studio. The company, currently working on an unnamed project for Bethesda Softworks, has been hiring a ton of folks lately from all over the place including the lead designer for Fable II at Lionhead as well as team members from Bioware, Criterion Games and other dev studios.

Today Splash Damage announced that it has hired Neil Alphonso to be their lead level designer. Alphonso comes from Guerrilla Games where he was the lead level designer for their just released PS3 shooter Killzone 2. He also worked with Ubisoft on the original Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell game and even worked at 3D Realms on (believe it or not) Duke Nukem Forever. We bet he has some stories to tell . . .

Feature: 2009 console games that should be PC games

On Monday we posted up a feature of all the great 2008 released console only titles that should, in our humble opinion, also be released for the PC. Today we have a sequel to that feature as we go over a number of upcoming 2009 console only games that have yet to officially announce a PC port.

As you can see there are quite a few console-only titles due out in 2009 that would be perfect for PC gamers including perhaps the most obvious choice; Ensemble Studios' last game Halo Wars. Some of our picks are admittedly fanciful but who cares? We still want to play all these games on the PC.
