Issue 14, the latest free content for City of Heroes, released last week making it the first MMO that allows users to create their own custom content and story arcs. With the straightforward title Architect, this issue takes a unique approach to content expansion by putting all the power into players' hands and imaginations. The update focuses exclusively on bringing players the Mission Architect tool, which gives player access to every map, character and scripted event available in the game. In effect, by offering one major feature, City of Heroes released the biggest content expansion it or any other game has ever seen.

City of Heroes Issue 14 released yesterday, giving players access to a brand new feature called the Mission Architect. With it, players can construct their own custom missions and story arcs, complete with player-made characters. This video provides a quick run through of the Mission Architect and how to use it. There are two versions of the downloadable HD version. The first is a standard 720p resolution and the second is a larger 1280p.

It's one of the most awaited additions for any MMO and its now become a reality. NCsoft sent over word that "Issue 14" of their super hero MMO City of Heroes has gone live on their main servers. Subscribers to the long running game can now access the title's new Mission Architect feature.

In case you haven't kept up with the news, this new feature allows any player to create new missions for the game. That includes adding new dialog, creating new enemies and more to populate your missions. Players who create exceptional new missions for the game will get new in-game rewards and recognition. Other new features in "Issue 14" include some new additions to the game PvP modes.

This is the final episode of the 3-part City of Heroes video series starring Captain Dynamic. The series was put together by Rooster Teeth (of Red vs Blue fame) and promotes the upcoming Issue 14 game expansion, which features a Mission Architect.
