The Steam service is getting started earlly with a couple of big PC game sales on its site. One is for Majesty 2, the recent fantasy strategy-sim game from 1C Company and Paradox Interactive. The game is currently on sale for just $7.50, a 75 percent cut from its normal price. Steam has also just added the recently released expansion pack to the game, Kingmaker, to its line-up.

Also on sale from now until Thursday is the LucasArts Adventure Pack. Mac Steam client launches with over 50 games [Update]

The long awaited launch of the Mac Steam client is now available to download, but it looks like Valve, at least as of this news post, has yet to go live with the client's Mac Game Store. Our sister site Joystiq reports that Mac users can still purchase games via the official Steam web site.

At the moment there's not an official list of games for the Mac launch of Steam although it's looking like it could be as many as 50 titles could be available for Mac users. Many of them will be able to be downloaded for free if users have already bought the PC version of the game via Steam. We will update this post when we get a definitive list of launch titles for the Mac client.

Update: Valve has now turned on the big switch to the Mac game store and indeed well over 50 titles are available to download for Mac players. You can check out the full list of games after the jump. One note: Torchlight is now on sale for both the PC and Mac for just $9.99.

The service will begin with 10 titles that will be added to Steam beginning Wednesday in what is descibed as the "first round" of LucasArts games to be made available on Steam. So if your favorite game isn't listed it's likely that it will be added to the Steam service at a later date. Further additions will be announced, natch, via LucasArts' Twitter page. Here's the full list of the first round of releases and some more info on their plans can be found at our sister site Joystiq.
