PAX East 2011 will be filled with exhibitors showing off upcoming games but there will also be some PC game hardware companies showing off their new and/or upcoming products. One of them is the gaming PC maker iBuyPower and today the company sent over word that it will be showing its upcoming Erebus gaming PC at the show this weekend in Boston at the Nvidia booth.

While iBuyPower is keeping much of the details of the Erebus system to themselves it did post a teaser trailer on YouTube which you can check out after the jump. As you will see there's lots of tight closeups on the system, particularity its fans and liquid cooling system, along with some three way Nvidia GeForce SLI action. Over clocking seems to be the theme of this gaming PC rig. The Erebus is scheduled to be available for sale in a few weeks.

So we take this opportunity to examine some of those technology trends and see how they might grow over or fizzle out over the next ten years. Here are our predictions of what PC gaming might look like in 2020.

iBUYPOWER's MAGIC software turns any PC game into a multi-touch title

There's been a lot of talk about different interfaces for playing games. One of them is something that you can get right now; the ability to touch a screen to manipulate units, give commands and more. Now gaming PC maker iBUYPOWER has created a special software tool that, if you have the right hardware, will allow you to turn any game into one that supports touch screen manipulation.

The software, called MAGIC, allows players to create profiles for each game and then play them with any multi-touch supported monitor or laptop. The software can be downloaded for free at the iBUYPOWER web site. It does require Windows 7 and of course you have to have a multi-touch product for it to work (which, not so oddly, iBUYPOWER sells). You can check out a video of the software being used to play a game of Supreme Commander 2 after the jump:

LAN Warrior 2 PC makes carrying a case easier

A lot of you know the pain of lugging a big PC tower case to a LAN event like QuakeCon or PAX or even just to a friend's house. Last year, iBUYPOWER introduced the LAN Warrior, a gaming PC that not only was smaller than the normal PC but had a handy carrying strap and harness to make transporting it easier.

Now a year later, the company has just launched LAN Warrior II, a redesigned version of the gaming PC. This time the case comes with a handle that's built into the top of the small tower case that's 40 percent smaller than the normal PC tower case. Even with a small space the LAN Warrior II can still contain two video cards from either ATI or Nvidia, a Intel Core i7 processor and up to 24 GB of RAM. It's on sale now with a starting price of $999.

An upcoming first person shooter needs a name and you can give it one

It's rare that the general public is given a chance to name a game before its release but the folks at the free-to-play gaming web site ijji.com is letting gamers do just that. They are going to launch a new first person shooter soon but it still lacks a title so the publisher is running a contest where you could give the game its moniker.

The publisher has posted up a web site for the near-future sci-fi themed game with screenshots and a video (you can see it after the jump) that show off what the title is all about. Submissions are being taken from now until February 10 with the winner selected on February 16. The winner not only has his or her suggestion for the game put in as the official title but also gets an iBuyPower gaming PC.

CES 2010: iBUYPOWER announces new multi-touch gaming PC laptop

PCs that use Windows 7's native multi-touch display features are still something fairly rare but this week at the Consumer Electronics Show gaming PC maker iBUYPOWER announced plans to release a gaming-oriented laptop, the Battalion Touch, with multi-touch features.

The first version of the new laptop line, the Battalion Touch CZ-10, will be shown at CES 2010 later this week and will be made available for pre-orders on January 7. The first models are scheduled to ship on January 20. Other than the fact that the CZ-10 will have a 15 inch monitor no other tech specs were reveal nor was a price stated.

iBuyPower selling gaming PCs with the wild looking Level 10 case

There are PC case designs and then there are PC case designs. And then there's the Level 10, one of the oddest and coolest looking chassis we have ever seen. Created last March by ThermalTake, the case has separate enclosures for the hard drive, CPU, video card and other parts. It looks like something out of Minority Report.

Until this week the case has been sold as is but now iBuyPower is now selling full gaming PCs that use the Level10 chassis. If you want to have a PC at home that doesn't look like a big rectangle, you might want to check this out. The catch? The Level 10 gaming PC starts at $2,499. Ouch.

iBUYPOWER's new gaming PC is fiery

As we await the commercial release of Windows 7 some gaming PC makers are still coming out with new products. iBUYPOWER has just announced the Chimera Killer Special Edition Gaming PC, a new product that includes the Killer Zeno Pro gaming network card from Bigfoot Networks.

As we have reported before the Killer Zeno Pro is designed to optimize even fast broadband Internet connections for a lag free online experience. The Chimera Killer also uses a firey looking "Inferno" case design and can be configured with both Intel and AMD processors. The gaming PC starts at $1,499 and can be ordered at the iBUYPOWER.com web site.

iBuyPower launches new LAN gaming oriented desktop

Attending a LAN party is fun; it's getting there that's a hassle for some people. If you bring a small form-factor PC or laptop you aren't getting a high-powered PC most of the time. On the other hand a truly high-end PC will all the trimmings also tends to be extremely big and heavy which can be tasking to move to a LAN event.

iBuyPower thinks it has the solution to such issues with the just announced LAN Warrior desktop gaming PC. As you can see the PCs case is small and can be carried with the included carrying strap and harness. However this case can still hold two Nvidia or ATI graphics cards inside. It also has support for Intel's new Core i7 processor and can hold up to 24 GB of RAM and a 1000W power supply. Pricing for the LAN Warrior begins at $999.
