Oberon Media shuts down internal game development
The casual PC game publisher Oberon Media is making more changes. Venture Beat reports that the company has decided to shut down all internal game development. This move will result in layoffs at Oberon Media although the numbers of people affected have yet to be announced. The company currently has 380 employees and until now has released 10 internally developed games per year. Its CEO and president Bob Hayes says this new move will allow the company to work with more external game developers. Oberon will continue to publish externally developed games via its I-play brand.
