H.A.W.X. 2 PC gets Open Skies DLC

While it took over two extra months for Ubisoft to release the PC port of H.A.W.X. 2 the publisher didn't waste time in releasing the first DLC mini-expansion to the modern flying action game. Open Skies will set you back $9.99 and is now available to purchase and download at Ubisoft's web site and at other various download outlets.

It comes with three new team battle missions for your dogfighting skills (Search and Destroy, High Altitute Warfare and Trigger Happy). It also comes with five new planes (F-4E-Phantom II, F-86 Sabre, Mig-15 Fagot, Mig-21 Fishbed, and Su T-50 PAK FA) and new skin for two other planes (F-22 Raptor and F-35B Lighting II).

Report: H.A.W.X. 2 PC delayed again to mid-November

It's looking like PC players will once again have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the PC port of H.A.W.X. 2. Developer/publisher Ubisoft's flying action game sequel was supposed to be out on September 30 but now some reports suggest a new delay.

The reports come from message board posts on the game's official forums from people who have pre-ordered H.A.W.X. 2. They indicate that Ubisoft has sent them emails stating the game's release has been delayed for the PC until November 16. In addition the game's listing on the Steam PC game download site has changed from September 30 to simply "Fall 2010" The game was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles earlier this month.
