Sony Online's gamers donate to Haiti relief via in-game purchases

Today Sony Online Entertainment has announced that they have raised $25,000 for the American Red Cross for their efforts to help the people of Haiti after the devestaing earthquake last week.

Specially labeled in game items were put on sale from January 15-18 in the three participating games which could be purchased for 500 in Station Cash, the in-game currency used in Sony Online games. Sony Online donated $10 for each item sold to the American Red Cross.
