SimBin teams up with RaceRoom on racing simulation hardware setups

The racing simulation developer SimBin has been pretty quiet of late but today the Sweden-based company announced plans to enter into a "long term strategic business partnership" with the Switzerland-based RaceRoom Entertainment. The two will be teaming up to offer high end racing simulation hardware set-ups including "Race bucket seats and high end steering wheels" along with monitors and sound systems. The software will used SimBin's many different racing simiulation games it has developed over the years.

SimBin announced plans last March to release an all new game in its GTR racing sim series for release in 2011. However there's been little info on the game since that announcement.

New GTR racing sim game announced for 2011

One of the most prolific racing sim developers around, the Sweden-based SimBin has just announced plans to release a new game in their long running GTR game series. The game itself is set for a 2011 release but no publisher or platform has been announced although a PC release is very likely given the history of previous GTR games.

Details on the new game are still a bit on the vague side with SimBin stating the new GTR game "will take gamers back to the roots" of previous SimBin game released while still "offering a brand new take" of their style of game. The press release does state the new game will have "new innovative online features and activities" and gamers can also expect "a very comprehensive DLC plan."

GTR Evolution zooms to PC

While there have been rumors about the amazingly beautiful Gran Turismo heading towards the PC, there's still other realistic racing games on the platform. Notably, GTR evolution has been announced for PC, heading towards the hands of racing fans come early July.

Featuring 19 tracks with 40 different layouts, as well as quite a few licensed cars, it's no slouch in the content department. If you're a fan of the GTR series, or realistic racing in general, take a look at it come early July.
