Review: Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City combines two DLC expansions - The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony - and combines them into a single package. These stories can be purchased together as a single stand alone game or individually as Grand Theft Auto 4 add-ons. Both options come out to about the same price. While the game still suffers from a few quirks, but getting to meet these characters and experience the stories makes it worthwhile.

Grand Theft Auto IV just $7.50 on Steam until 4 pm EST

We told you to expect some sales that would last for just a few hours at a time on Steam this week. Here's a perfect example: Grand Theft Auto IV, the 2008 released open world action game from Rockstar Games, is just $7.50 from now until 4 pm Eastern time (that's 1 pm Pacific time) on Steam.

As we reported on Monday, Steam will be rolling out a number of these quick sales from the Rockstar Games collection all week. However you can still get all 13 games from the publisher that are available on Steam for the bundle price of just $42.49 from now until this coming Monday.

Steam offers Rockstar Games collection at 50 percent off this week

Valve may have just kicked off their new Steam web site and user interface for its client but that doesn't mean that they are slacking up on their game sales. Today they kicked off a week-long sale of their Rockstar Collection. It's a bundle of all 13 games that Steam sells from publisher Rockstar Games. For one week only the bundle costs just $42.49 for all 13 games.

But that's not all. Throughout the week Steam will cut the price of individual games from Rockstar down to the bone for brief periods of time (a couple of hours or so). One such sale for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is now active. The price of that game will be just $2.50 from now until 6 pm Eastern time. You can get instant notification of other brief sales all this week if you join the official Steam Community group for Rockstar Games.

Direct2Drive launches second week of spring PC game sales

As predicted, the Direct2Drive web site has launched its second week of PC game sales with quite a number of titles involved. From now until next Monday, over 20 game titles have had their prices slashed by at least 50 percent and in some cases over 80 percent.

Just some of the games on sale this week include Grand Theft Auto IV for just $7.50, Manhunt 2 for $4.95, East India Company for a mere $4.95, and Men of War for just $2.50. Some indie games are also on sale including The Path and Eufloria, which are priced at $4.95 each.

New PC game sales include Grand Theft Auto IV and Commandos pack

As if on cue (wink), the folks at Microsoft have decided to pick Grand Theft Auto IV to be the next game in their regular Games On Demand sale on Games For Windows Live. From now until Monday you can purchase and download Rockstar Games' open world action game for just $14.99 by using the Games For Windows Live client. This sale comes as Rockstar has released the two GTA IV expansion packs for download this week.

Over at Steam, they have also got yet another Midweek Madness sale to crow about. From now until Thursday you can purchase and download the Commandos collection, with all of the games in Pyro Studios' WWII RTS series, for a mere $4.99.
