Worldshift finally coming to the US in November

Last year, developer Black Sea Studios released the sci-fi themed RTS game Worldshift in Europe via Playlogic. However the game never made it to US shores. Now publisher Got Game Entertainment has announced they will finally bring Worldshift to the US in November.

The game is set thousands of years after an alien object nearly wipes out all humans on Earth. The game's three factions (Humans, Tribes, and the alien-based Cult) are now fighting for control of the planet. Unlike most RTS games which have factions upgrade their forces via tech trees, Worldshift has factions discover items in the game world and use them to upgrade their units. You can check out a playable demo of Worldshift right here at Big Download.

ArmA II heads to US retail stores July 7; 2 GB demo soon

The game is already out in Europe and will be made available via Steam on Friday but if for some reason you want to get the retail box version, ArmA II is heading to retail stores as well in the US. Today publisher Got Game Entertainment revealed their plans to release the Bohemia Interactive-developed game on July 7.

Meanwhile a post on the Bohemia Interactive message boards has announced that we can expect an ArmA II demo to be released sometime later this week. There's no word yet on what the content will be like but brace yourself for a big file; the final demo is expected to be about 2 GB in size.

Hinterland heads to retail stores March 25

Tilted Mill's first downloadable original game, Hinterland, was released back in the summer of 2008. Now it appears that Tilted Mill is bringing the game to retail stores via publisher Got Game Entertainment. The company announced this week that Hinterland: Orc Lords will ship to stores and also released via download on March 25.

There's no word yet if Hinterland: Orc Lords will contain extra content that was not released in the previous downloadable versions of the game. However it looks like the retail version will keep the original's mix of a fantasy RPG with a village building sim gameplay element. We suspect that previous owners of the game will be getting any extra content in the retail version via a patch.
