Frogwares officially announces Dracula Origin 2

While developer Frogwares has been hinting about developing a sequel to their horror adventure game Dracula Origin via posting screenshots on its Facebook page for some time, this week the company's web site finally announced its plans for Dracula Origin 2.

The sequel will feature Dracula teaming up with his arch enemy Van Helsing to fight The Queen of Vampires (apparently that's her only name) who has kidnapped Dracula's love Mina. While the web site does not give a release date, a Facebook post from a Frogwares rep states, " The game will be released in (a) couple of months." Meanwhile you can still save 30 percent off all of Frogwares' games from now until January 31.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes delayed to late 2011

Last April, developer Frogwares announced plans to release The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, the latest adventure game from the team behind a number of other adventure games starring the classic consulting detective. At the time the game was supposed to come out in the fall of 2010.

Now a recent post on Frogwares' Facebook page has a rep from the developer admitting the game is now due for release at the end of 2011. In another post the developer said the game will be released for the PC, Xbox 360 and the PS3. In the meantime the developer is working on another game, the sequel to Dracula Origin, that Frogwares says will be out in about three months.

Dracula Origin sequel coming from Frogwares; status of next Sherlock Holmes game unknown

We haven't heard much from adventure game developer Frogwares lately. The last word we had from the company was that they were working on a new title in its long running Sherlock Holmes series. However there's been no news on that game, The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, since a teaser trailer was released last April.

While the company's web site hasn't been updated in months, Frogware's official Facebook page has been posting updates and screenshots from upcoming games. One of them is a previously unannounced sequel to Dracula: Origin, its horror themed game that was first released in 2008. The Facebook page has a number of screenshots from the sequel but there's no other info on the game that's been revealed. There's also no info on what happened to The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, which was supposed to be released by the end of 2010.

New Sherlock Holmes Vs Jack The Ripper screenshots get gothic

Focus Home Interactive is closing in on the release of Sherlock Holmes Vs. Jack The Ripper, the latest game in the adventure game series that stars Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's detective. This week the publisher sent over some new screenshots from the game that we have added to our gallery.

Developed by Frogwares, the game pits the greatest fictional crime-fighter of all time against the very real Jack The Ripper serial killer. The game itself combines the traditional third person "point-and-click" gameplay with a first person viewpoint as well, along with a "original crime scene reconstitution system". Sounds kinda icky, actually. The game is scheduled for release for the PC next month.

New Sherlock Holmes Vs. Jack The Ripper screenshots released

A couple of months ago Focus Home Interactive announced plans to release Sherlock Holmes Vs Jack The Ripper, the latest in a series of adventure games starring the great fictional detective from developer Frogwares. This week the developer sent over some more screenshots of the game.

One of the new shots shows off the first person viewpoint of the game which will be combined with the more traditional adventure game "point-and-click" third person viewpoint. As we have reported before, the literary creation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle will try to solve the real life London murders of the legendary serial killer. The game is scheduled for release sometime in 2009.
