Last March Abandon Interactive launched their unusual MMO title Freaky Creatures which combined social features with custom creature creation and Pokemon-style fighting. Today the company announced plans for the first expansion pack to Freaky Creatures. And this time the are headed, Josie and the Pussycats style, into outer space.

The Freaky Space expansion will nearly double the size of the game's universe as players will get to pick from one of four alien races and tons of factions. Featuring PvE gameplay along with new multiplayer battles, the press release states, "While exploring new realms and learning more about the dangers lurking in space, players will face off against the galaxy's deadliest challenges." A beta test for Freaky Space will begin this summer and it will officially launch later this year. In the meantime you can download the Freaky Creatures client at Big Download.

This application downloads Freaky Creatures, the game where players raise and customize your own creature for online Pokemon-like competition. The game is currently in open beta and is expected to release later this month. Visit the official website for more information and to register for beta access.

Yet another MMO-style game has entered its open beta stage. Today Abandon Interactive announced that they have launched the open beta for Freaky Creatures, the Pokemon-like online game that allows folks to create their own creatures and have them battle against other players' creations in turn based combat. You can also build and customize your own lair for your creature

While there's no word on when the beta test will end, a press release from Abandon Interactive states that Starter Packs for the game will ship to retail stores in March for $19.95. In an unusual move the game will ship to stores not as a disk but as a USB flash drive that also comes with two action figures.

Freaky Creatures will let players build customized monsters and battle them out online, from PC to PC, PC to Mobile, or mobile to mobile. The game is scheduled to release early 2009, letting users run loose with their creativity.

It's so freaky! Ok, it's not that freaky but when you write about a game called Freaky Creatures you kind of have to start with something like that. Today it was announced that the upcoming MMO game from Abandon Entertainment will have a promotion with gaming PC maker Alienware.

Specifically people who sign up to beta test Freaky Creatures this summer will be eligible to win a number of prizes including an Alienware Area-51 m15x notebook. The game, which allows players to construct their own creatures and then have them battle other creatures online, is scheduled to officially launch sometime this summer.
