If you are attending this year's QuakeCon event in Dallas one of the things you can do is check out a free showing of Frag, a documentary on the pro gaming tournament scene. The movie, produced by Cohesion Productions, promises to take a look at the movement from a gritty angle, stating, "Frag sheds light on the struggles cyberathletes face while breaking into professional video gaming and maintaining success. Like all sports exploitation, abuse, and sometimes abandonment cause many gamers to fail to reach the top but again like all sports heroes exist."

The free showing at QuakeCon will be on August 1 which is also the same day the movie's official web site will offer the DVD release of Frag. There's no word yet on what the DVD will cost but it will contain extra features like deleted scenes, director commentary and extra interviews with folks like former id Software designer John Romero.
