Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 trailer blows apart imperial soldiers

Bionic Commando Rearmed
is easily our favorite remake of all time. It captures that feel of the NES Bionic Commando while modernizing it excellently. The sequel, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, understandably has us just as excited to take part in the adventures of Rad Spencer, and the trailers and details given out by developer Fatshark have only made us more pumped. The game has finally released on consoles (but not PC, unfortunately), and this trailer commemorates the occasion with tons of gameplay footage. From new weapons to beautiful new environments to cheesy 8-bit styling, it's one of the better launch trailers we've had the pleasure to watch.

Hamilton's Great Adventure announced

Developer Fatshark, made up in part of former members of the now defunct GRIN, released its first title in 2010, the Western-theme third person multiplayer shooter Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West. Now the developer is moving away from "M" rated shooting to a more family friendly puzzle game, Hamilton's Great Adventure.

Due out in April the game lets players solve both action puzzles and more traditional problem solving issues. The game features co-op support for both the "brilliant bird Sasha" as well as Ernest Hamilton, a character that looks more than a little like Henry Jones Jr. The game is apparently using Fatshark's own BitSquid graphics engine if its official web site is any indication.

Bionic Commado Rearmed 2 trailer takes on the megacopter

While Bionic Commando (the reboot) may have been a minor disappointment, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 is still on the way. It's shaping up to be a beauty of a game, especially if this trailer is any indication. Cheesy dialogue, excellent electronic music, and the hallmark Bionic Commando style are in full force here. The target is the Megacopter, a gigantic armor helicopter that looks quite nasty. The trailer shows most of the strategy for defeating it, although it leaves the actual destruction of the thing for the game proper. It may just be a gameplay video of a boss, but it sure does have us excited.

Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 trailer swings in with some all-new moves

Capcom recently announced the official development of Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, a new remake of the side-scrolling classic action game. As with the previous game, the graphics will be updated with an 3D makeover and best of all, the controls will include the ability to jump - truly bringing the game into the modern era. The game is expected to release in the early half of 2011 and is currently slated for release on the PlayStaton Network and Xbox Live, but we're hoping that PC support will soon be included like with its predecessor.

In Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, "Nathan Spencer returns as the daring elite soldier equipped with special bionic abilities. Spencer will have to face his greatest challenge yet as General Sabio, a new technologically sophisticated foe, is on the brink of launching a deadly missile attack."

No Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 for PC?

The good news? Capcom has indeed confirmed that Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 is in the works. The sequel to the downloadable 2.5D side scroller is being developed by Fatshark who just released their first game Lead and Gold: Tales of the Wild West.

The bad news? The game was announced as coming for the Xbox 360 and PS3 but not for the PC, unlike the original which was released back in 2008. We have emailed Capcom to get an official response but keep in mind that the publisher has a history of both announcing and releasing their PC game ports after they appear on consoles
