In other news the organizers of E For All Expo 2008 have announced that Fatal1ty will appear at the three day consumer gaming event on Oct 3-5 at the LA Convention Center. He will meet with fans, sign autographs and participate in head-to-head multiplayer matches at the show, much like he did for the first installment of the expo last year.

Camp Fatal1ty: A lot better than rowing classes

Kids are out for the summer so their parents will likely push them against their will to go to summer camp. All that awful clean air, sun and "activities" are dreaded by their children. If you really want your kids to be happy to go to camp this summer, why not go to "Camp Fatal1ty"? Yes, your children can learn how to shoot each other via playing Epic Games' Unreal Tournament 3.

The camp, organized by the iD Gaming Academy at UCLA, Stanford University and Villanova University, will allow its participants to not only learn how to play multiplayer matches in UT3 with lessons developed by pro gamer Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel but they will also learn how to make machinima and tour a major game development studio. When the camp is over participants will also get a Fatal1ty branded PC keyboard. Make sure to bring your life preserver.

Gamespot Q&A with Jonathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel

Pro-gamer Jonathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel recently spoke with Gamespot UK writer Emma Boyes on a number of topics, ranging from the oft-asked (according to Wendel) "Is there any game that you get owned at?" to more in-depth topics, such as viewing each game like a mathematical equation.

"Every game has been programmed," Wendel told Gamespot. "There's always a kind of mathematical way to beat every game. Of course there's still the hand eye coordination, the timing, the smarts ... and all that kind of stuff, but a lot of it comes down to mathematics. If you approach it in a mathematical way, you improve your odds for what's going to happen next."

Wendel also spoke about his business, Fatal1ty, Inc., where gamers eager for Wendel's edge can purchase products such as mice, video cards, and the most recent addition, Creative's Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium soundcard.

"I figured I would start a company that was really for the gamers," Wendel said, "and for the community, and to give back funds that came in. And I do that by sponsoring players and sponsoring teams."
