F1 2010 due out on September 22 in US

If you like the open wheeled racing on the road tracks, then you must love Formula 1 racing. Today Codemasters announced that its long awaited Formula 1 racing sim title, F1 2010, will be released for the PC and other platforms on September 22 in the US. Folks in the EPAC territories get the game on September 23 while the UK fans get their hands on it on September 24.

All of the current Formula 1 drivers, teams and tracks will be in F1 2010 along with a number of gameplay modes from quick-fire races all the way up to a full career mode. The game will feature tracks and settings that Codemasters says have never been seen in a game before including "high-definition recreations of Singapore's stunning night race and the dramatic Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi."

Codemasters' F1 PC racing sim to be revealed in March

Fans of Codemasters' many racing sim games on the PC will be happy with this news. According to SimRacingWorld, the publisher plans to finally release the first details on their long awaited PC F1 racing sim on March 17. That's just after the start of this year's F1 racing season.

Codemasters bought the rights to make racing and sim games based on the F1 racing league back in 2008 but in 2009 it only released F1-based games for the PSP and Wii platforms. It's expected that the F1 racing sim for the PC will be titled F1 2010 and will use the company's in-house EGO graphics engine.
