There are no retail PC games scheduled to ship to stores this week but there are two downloadable expansions that are due to be made available this week

Everquest Underfoot -Sony Online releases their latest expansion pack via download for their 10 year old MMO this week. You can expect lots of new zones to explore, new quest to undertake, new spells, monsters, weapons and more.

We've got yet another game delay to report today but it's not one, thankfully, that's being pushed back to the already crowded first quarter of 2010 period. Sony Online announced today that Everquest Underfoot, the latest expansion pack to their long running fantasy MMO, won't be released on November 24 as previously revealed.

However the delay is just a few weeks long this time as the developers say they simply want to "give our players the best possible gameplay experience and the amount of content that they've come to expect." And it's all about the giving, as we all know. Anyway you can now expect the expansion to be released on December 15.

It celebrated its 10th anniversary this year and this week Sony Online announced that it's flagship MMO Everquest would see its 16th commercial expansion, Everquest Underfoot, released on Nov. 24. However, Sony Online is priming up Everquest players with three special in-game events that will lead up to the release of the expansion.

The first is running right now and it's called (we aren't kidding) Giants, Giants, Giants. Players will have to fight off the biggest monsters in the realm of Norrath in this event. More in-game events will be held in September and October. Players who participate in all three and buy the expansion will get early access to Everquest: Underfoot.

Sony Online Entertainment is holding its annual Fan Faire event in Las Vegas this weekend and during the event the publisher revealed the next commercial expansion packs for both of their Everquest PC MMO games. The original Everquest title gets its 16th commercial expansion with Everquest: Underfoot. It will have the usual additions (new locations, monsters and more) when it's released in November.

The new expansion for Everquest II was also revealed during the event. Titled Everquest II: Sentinel's Fate, this expansion is not due for release until February 2010 but will raise the game's current level cap to 90.
