Empire Total War DLC and campaign multiplayer beta now available

As promised, developer The Creative Assembly and publisher Sega have now released the previously announced downloadable content for the historical RTS game Empire: Total War via the Steam client. The Elite Units of America mini-expansion costs $3.25 and adds 15 new units to both single and multiplayer modes.

Also available via Steam is the first beta for the long awaited multiplayer campaign mode which lets one player team up with a friend to battle on all of the game's single player maps and missions. The beta requires you become a member of the free Sega Pass program which can be accessed at the official Empire: Total War web site. Once signed up you will then get a Steam beta key via email.
