Steam puts Bethesda Softworks RPG games on sale this weekend

As we mentioned earlier today, Bethesda Softworks has launched a pre-order special for folks who wish to get the PC download version of theupcoming RPG Fallout New Vegas. Now Steam is not only offering the game for pre-order but is also putting three of Bethesda's previous games on sale this weekend only.

For this weekend, you can get Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition for $24.99 (a 50 percent savings) You can also download and purchase Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game Of The Year Edition Deluxe on Steam this weekend for just $8.50 (a 66 percent savings). Finally Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year gets its price cut by a whopping 75 percent this weekend on Steam. You can get the game now for a mere $5.

Saturday Steam sales bring new PC game deals

We are nearly at the end of Valve's holiday sales event on Steam. Come Monday all those bundle sales will be put in storage until next year's event. But there's still some time to take atvantage of the big deals if you have some spare change.

As usual Steam has another one day sale on a few select games. For the next 22 hours you can get five PC titles at rock bottom prices. Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 is priced at $10.19 during the sale and the Painkiller Collectors pack (with all of the Painkiller shooter titles) is on sale for $8.74. Three games are on sale for $4.99 each: Trine, Counter-Strike: Source and Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

More Bethesda Softworks games coming soon to Steam

At the moment there's only one Bethesda Softworks game that's currently available on Steam and that's Fallout 3. However, thanks to a inadvertent leak from Steam's news service it appears that three more games from the small but powerful publisher will soon appear on the download service.

The page lists Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, the two acclaimed open world fantasy RPG titles that Bethesda created before Fallout 3. In addition Steam will also make available Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, the first person horror action-adventure game from the now defunct developer Headfirst. Whenever the games are posted on Steam they will apparently be made available for a 20 percent discount for a limited time.
