Eets gets Mac port and sale on Steam until Thursday

Before developer Klei Entertainment released its ultra-violent downloadable platformer game Shank earlier this year, the team released the adorable casual game Eets in 2006. The Lemmings-like puzzle-platformer game is now getting a new lease on life via Steam with the new release of a Mac port. As with all Mac games on Steam that have PC game counterparts, folks who already own the PC version can get the Mac port for free and vice versa.

In order to celebrate the Mac port's release, Eets is also getting a big price drop. Until mid-day on Thursday the game is on sale for just $2.50, a 75 percent price cut.

Valve's weekend deal is all about the indies

Valve's co-founder Gabe Newell said this week during the DICE Summit that their regular Steam weekend deals help to boost revenues for those titles, sometimes in massive amounts This weekend Valve has decided to put not one but five games on sale in one big game pack with a price that is certain to

The five titles are all from indie developers including Multiwinia, Eets, I-Fluid, Trials 2, and Graviton 2. For this weekend only you can download and purchase all five games in one bundle for just $9.99. That's over 75 percent off their normal $44.95 price if each game were bought separately. If you ever wanted to try a game that's outside the mainsteam this is the perfect opportunity.

Valve's weekend sale is for Eets

We've already had a game put on sale on Valve's Steam service this week; Audiosurf is still just $2.49 for a few more days. However, Valve has gone ahead and honored its regular weekend sale with another drastic price cut on a game from their service.

This weekend only Steam users can download and purchase the indie developed tilte Eets for just $2.49. Like Audiosurf's sale, that a 75 percent reduction in its usual price of $9.99. Developed by Klei Entertainment, the 2006 puzzle-platformer has already received tons of acclaim and now the price on Steam makes it (almost) a steal.
