East India Company: Battle of Trafalgar is a stand-alone add-on to the naval strategy game, East India Company. It's scheduled to release on via digital download on December 8th. The East India Company demo can be downloaded here.

Featuring historically accurate ships from all three fleets along with the key naval personnel of the battle, East India Company: Battle of Trafalgar is a simulation of what in reality was the most decisive British naval victory of the war as, led by Admiral Lord Nelson aboard HMS Victory, an outnumbered British fleet sank 22 enemy vessels off of the South West coast of Spain without a single ship of their own being lost."

Paradox Interactive's already busy downloadable game release schedule this year just got a last minute addition. The publisher announced today plans to release East India Company: Battle of Trafalgar, a stand alone expansion to developer Nitro Games' recent historical strategy game.

This game focuses solely on old fashioned naval combat as it recreates the now legendary battle between the English, French and Spanish armadas in 1805. The game will feature historically accurate fleets from all three nations and five commanders based on the real ones involved in the battle. The game will be released via download on December 8 for the bargain price of $9.99. If you want to check out the original East India Company it will go on sale at the GamersGate download site for 50 percent off its normal price on November 27-28.
