EA's PC game download sale saves gamers 44 percent

We are already into 2011 and Electronic Arts is holding the first big PC game download sale of the year (or at least the first one that isn't carried over from 2010). From now until the end of the day today you can save 44 percent off even recent games from the publisher.

That means you can get the PC port of Need For Speed Hot Pursuit for $27.97 or Medal of Honor Digital Deluxe Edition for $33.37. Or you can get Battlefield Bad Company 2 for a mere $11.17, which is less than the game's recently released expansion pack Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam is currently selling for.

One day PC game sales (and more) show up on Monday

Monday is the start of a slow news week at least as far as PC games are concerned but folks stuck at home because of the Northeast blizzard can still save some money today.

Labor Day PC game sales lighten our work load

For many of you reading this, this is the beginning of a long weekend. If you are off this Labor Day, perhaps you will celebrate it by purchasing some cheap PC games and in so doing support your local work force:

Weekend PC game sales are hot, hot, HOT!

Wow. It's been a busy week for news in both the game industry and the real world. How much money did you lose on Thursday? Well even if you lost a lot you might have a few bucks left over to grab some PC game sales deals.

More downloadable PC game sales hit on V-Day

We've already had a lot of PC game sales this Valentine's Day weekend but we are not quite done yet. Even more sales have been spotted at various download sites.

Friday's PC game sales include Galactic Civilizations II for just $1.99

It's official; Christmas is just one week away so get moving and check out these sales now:

Reminder: PC game Black Friday 2009 deals list

Technically tomorrow begins the busiest shopping day of the year but as some of you know many retailers and a lot of online sites and download services have already begun cutting prices on their products. Just to give you a quick overview of all the Black Friday-related sales we have mentioned in the past few weeks here's a recap:

GameStop Black Friday sales include Left 4 Dead 2 at $29.99
Best Buy to have $4.99 PC games for Black Friday sale
Direct2Drive and Impulse serve up some Thanksgiving PC game sales
Steam breaks out lots of holiday PC game download sales
EA cuts prices 30 percent from all downloadable PC games until Monday

GoGamer has its own massive Black Friday sale

Of course we will keep you update on any new sales that pop up during the weekend. In fact we have one already; Steam managed to sneak in a sale of the first season of Telltale's Sam and Max series. You can get the season for 33 percent off its normal price until Tuesday. Our sister site Joystiq also has a extensive look at all of the console game-based Black Friday 2009 deals. Another sister site, the MMO-themed Massively, has their own Black Friday 2009 deals. Finally for all of the Black Friday 2009 sales for every store and web site, period, make sure to head to bfads.net, the best such site on the net.

EA cuts prices 30 percent from all downloadable PC games until Monday

Yep, it's yet another massive price cut for downloadable PC games to tell you about before Thanksgiving officially begins. Electronic Arts' own online EA Store has decided to cut the prices of all of their current downloadable PC games by 30 percent. The sale prices lasts until Monday.

That means you can download and purchase Dragon Age: Origins from EA for just $34.96 during the sale. That price will also get you The Sims 3 and Need For Speed Shift during the sale. Other games with big price cuts include Mercenaries 2 for just $6.96, Warhammer Online for just $9.96, and the deluxe version of Dragon Age Origins for $45.46.

Mid-week sales include games at EA Store for 20 percent

Electronic Arts is getting a few weeks ahead of the annual Black Friday sales push by holding their own in-house sale at their online EA store. From now until Saturday all in stock games are on sale for 20 percent off their normal price. This sale doesn't apparently include the most recent EA release Dragon Age: Origins.

More mid-week sales include GoGamer.com which has a number of PC games on sale until 3 am Eastern Time Saturday. Sales price cuts include F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin for $14.90, Borderlands for $36.90 and Overlord 2 for just $9.90. Finally Steam has taken 30 percent off the recent zombie shooter Nation Red.
