Dead Horde announced

Oh, good grief. Another zombie game? Oh, all right. This newly announced entry into the undead game genre has the title Dead Horde. It comes from Gemany-based developer DnS Development who previously made titles like the arcade shooter Booster Trooper and the action-adventure game Twin Sector.

Dead Horde is designed to be a top-down shooter that can be played alone or with a co-op partner. The set up for the game sounds pretty basic with your characters armed with a variety of weapons taking out the infected horde of zombies in a city. There will also be vehicles to drive and some puzzles to solve. Dead Horde will infect PCs starting in June.

Booster Trooper gets free weekend and 50 percent off on Steam

It's time for another game to get a big boost (pun intended) from a free weekend of play on Steam. Booster Trooper, the side-scrolling shooter title from developer DnS Development, is now free to play all this weekend via Valve's download service. The multiplayer oriented title has 15 maps, support for up to 12 online players, tons of weapons, various gameplay modes and even dedicated server support.

If you want to keep playing Booster Trooper past this weekend, the game is currently on sale for just $4.99, a 50 percent discount from its normal price. There's also a four-pack deal (one for you, three copies for buddies) that also has a 50 percent price cut this weekend to just $14.99.
