BlizzCon 2010 ticket/charity dinner lottery now live

A little while ago we reported that people still had a chance to get tickets to the now sold out BlizzCon 2010 event by entering themselves in a lottery to pay for both tickets to Blizzard's big fan event on October 22-23 in Anaheim California. Now people can enter themselves into the lottery to get a chance to pay for those tickets at Blizzard's web site (a Battle.net account is required).

As we mentioned before the lottery will pick a select group of people who will then be given a chance to purchase tickets to BlizzCon 2010 along with access to a charity dinner the night before BlizzCon begins with Blizzard execs and team members in attendance. The ticket holders will also get a special signed print of Blizzard game artwork. 200 BlizzCon 2010 tickets will be sold for $500 each with a limit of two tickets per person. The deadline to register for the lottery is Saturday at 11:59 pm Pacific time (2:59 am Sunday Eastern time).

BlizzCon 2010 officially set for October 22-23 in Anaheim

Blizzard Entertainment's BlizzCon event is actually starting to turn into an annual affair. Today the developer announced that the 2010 edition of their fan event will be held on October 22-23 at their long time location at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

There are not a lot of details at this point about the show and that includes when tickets will go on sale and how much they will cost. Last year tickets sold out in a manner of minutes at $125 a pop. Blizzard's fans can expect to have a ton of activities to attend as well as exclusive items on sale. Will we learn more about the future of World of Warcraft? Will we get more details on the next game in the StarCraft II trilogy (the first should be released well before BlizzCon)? Will we get more info on Diablo III? And most importantly will Blizzard finally reveal the first details on their next generation MMO game. Stay tuned.
