Download: Prometheus UDK Demo

Originally designed as a Unreal Tournament 3 mod, Prometheus is now available as a stand-alone and free to play game made using the Unreal Development Kit (UDK).

Also known as Prometheus version 4.0, the demo includes:

A full circle storyline with three new levels
New awards for tracking progress
Additional custom textures, meshes and animations
Bonus original weapon
New custom layering music system and new voiceovers
Seamless cutscenes
New Epimetheus menu with active previews of individual quantum state histories
Dramatic improvements to the quantum state character movement and firing accuracy

"You're never alone when you have a clone. With the Prometheus Device, you control Einsteinian Physics laws of time and space. Create distinct past, present, and future Quantum States of yourself to solve puzzles and accomplish mission goals in this single player co-op game. You'll need to keep your wits and memory sharp using an original game play mechanic presented in multi-dimensional format inspired by Portal and Mirror's Edge."

Download: Torchlight Demo and v1.12 Patch

This update for Torchlight, an action role-playing game, addresses a list of performance and balance issues. Be aware that it is ONLY meant for the version purchased directly from Runic Games, and those who purchased it from other outlets should check those sites for the appropriate updates. Additionally, players will have to first uninstall the game before executing the patch, then input their game keys. Be sure to keep and/or backup your save games. Full patch notes and installation instructions are shown after the jump.

The patch also doubles as a stand-alone demo for Torchlight and allows for two hours of gameplay.

[Update]: Due to a slight oversight on the developer's part, although the patch really updates Torchlight to v1.12, the game will still show v1.11 on the title screen.

Download: Dark Salvation Demo

The playable demo for Dark Salvation includes two levels from the game and one bonus secret level. The full version can be purchased from Direct2Drive for $14.95.

"The story of Dark Salvation revolves around the main character Talia who is a 24 year old woman that has been chosen by the Spirit Crystal of the Underworld as its new host. Her parents were into the occult and believed that Talia's younger unborn sister Tayana was the key innocent sacrifice they needed to resurrect the Lucafix demon."

This is the playable demo for Gratuitous Space Battles. The full game can be purchased for $22.99 and the official trailer can be seen above.

Gratuitous Space Battles is a "strategy / management / simulation game that does away with all the base building and delays and gets straight to the meat and potatoes of science-fiction games: The big space battles fought by huge spaceships with tons of laser beams and things going 'zap!', 'ka-boom!' and 'ka-pow!'. In GSB you put your ships together from modular components, arrange them into fleets, give your ships orders of engagement and then hope they emerge victorious from battle (or at least blow to bits in aesthetically pleasing ways)."

Download: Updated Painkiller Resurrection Demo

JoWood has released an updated demo for Painkiller: Resurrection, which fixes gameplay issues found in the previous demo. System requirements are shown after the jump.

The Demo contains the complete intro, told in the style of a graphic novel; the tutorial, and the "Cathedral" - the first level of the game's intense campaign. The Painkiller: Resurrection Demo offers around 5% of the full version playtime. In addition to various powerful weapons (which include The Painkiller as well as the fans' favorite weapon, the Stake Gun) the Demo also showcases some of the new enemies.

Download: Zombie Shooter 2 Demo

Last year, Sigma Team (developer of both Alien Shooter and Zombie Shooter) released an early teaser demo for Zombie Shooter 2. Now comes the real thing, so get ready for the big zombie invasion. This action packed (and spatter packed) game is very simple: fend off waves of undead using an arsenal of high powered weapons. Players can also modify their character traits in this updated demo, and it's much deeper overall compared to the original teaser.
