Just in case you didn't see our announcement a few days ago, here's a little reminder: Crytek has begun a new online mutiplayer trial of their first person shooter Crysis Wars. From now until December 29 you can play the full version of the game online (with a special CD Key you get from the MyCrysis web site). After the free trial is over you can still play the full version offline on a LAN network.

Big Download has all of the files for the trial version available for download including the most recent 1.5 update. By the way, Crytek isalso giving away 100 free keys for the full, non-trial, version of Crysis Wars so head over to their web site for the details.

The team at Crytek has offered gamers a chance to play the full version of Crysis Wars online for free on several occasions and soon yet another opportunity to get some free game action will present itself. The MyCrysis web site has announced that yet another free trial of the 2008 multiplayer shooter will begin on December 19 and last until December 29.

There have been no updates to the game for some time so if you already have the full version there's no need to download it again. If you have yet to get the game you can download it right here at Big Download. If you have a offline LAN set up you can go ahead and play the game now. On December 19 you will have to get a CD key from the MyCrysis web site to play the full game online for free. After the free trial period ends you will have to purchase the full version in order to continue playing online.

You could create a DeLorean-Back to the Future car mod inside of Crysis if you really wanted to, but that's not particularly news worthy. However, creating a DeLorean-Back to the Future car mod that actually does use the flux capacitor to travel back and forth in time (in the game) . . . now that's worth looking into.

That's just what mod maker Mert Mimaroglu did with his very cool mod that can be used inside Crytek's 2007 first person shooter. The mod not only models the car, both inside and out, in great detail but as you can see in the video above you can use it to time travel in the game itself. All of the effects are spot on, from the electrical burst as the car hits 88 MPH to the frost the is created after a time jump to the fire trails it leaves behind when it moves out of the time line. Make sure Doc Brown and Marty see this.

Crytek is being extremely generous to its fans this week by offering yet another chance to play the full version of Crysis Wars online for free. The trial began last Friday and was supposed to end this coming Friday but today Crytek announced that the trial has been extended.

Due to some issues with players not being able to get their free CD keys (required to play the free trial online) Crytek has decided to extend the Crysis Wars free online trial period until Tuesday, September 8. That means folks in the US can enjoy playing the game online for free during the Labor Day holiday (the game is always free to play on a LAN network).

The folks at Crytek are opening up the online doors to anyone who wants to play their multiplayer shooter Crysis Wars. Beginning on Friday, anyone will be able to play the shooter online for free until the next Friday, September 4. You can still play the full game offline on a LAN network for free anytime you want.

Crytek hasn't added any new patches or content since the last trial so if you haven't done it already you can download the full client and the most recent 1.5 patch for the game right here at Big Download. If you don't have one already, Crytek will provide you with a CD Key to let you play the game online for free during the summer trial.

Crytek has already had a number of free trial weekend for their multiplayer shooter Crysis Wars and next weekend they are planning to do it again. A post on the MyCrysis web site states that beginning on August 28 players will once again get to play the full version, powered by CryEngine 3, online for free for a limited time.

Folks who previously played the trial version of the full game will get their CD Keys reactivated for the next free trial. More info on this particular free trial will be made available sometime next week.

This patch updates Crysis Wars to v1.5, which includes a number of gameplay improvements, but the most notable one is the new multiplayer map Ruins. The mod SDK package has also been updated to support the new fixes and features. Continue reading after the jump for full patch notes. Steam customers can update their game through the auto-patching system.

This trailer takes players through a fly-through of Ruins, a new multiplayer map that will be included in the v1.5 update of Crysis Wars. "Ruins is set in a church ruins environment where players are able to do combat both inside and outside the ruins."

Crytek continues to update their 2008 multiplayer shooter Crysis Wars (packaged with Crysis Warhead). This week the MyCrysis.com web site announces that a new 1.5 patch for the game is currently being developed. In addition to the usual bug fixes, the 1.5 patch will also include a new multiplayer map for players to run around in.

The map is titled Ruins and as you can see in the four screenshots that we have added to our gallery the title is apt. Players will battle inside and outside a ruined church setting. The patch will also have " . .. various updates which will be noticeable in-game and improve game balance." So far there's no word on when the patch will be released.

Today marks the start of the 1-week trial period for the online action shooter, Crysis Wars. Players can re-use registered keys from previous trial periods and game game comes bundled with the purchase of Crysis Warhead. The game will have patched after download. The trial period will end on Friday, April 17th so enjoy!
