CrimeCraft to get single player campaign?

Last summer Vogster Entertainment launched their first person shooter MMO CrimeCraft. It began as a typical MMO with a retail release and a monthly subscription fee but a few months later it switched directions and became a free-to-play game. Now there's word that yet another major change to the game is in the works.

Newsarama chatted with Vogster's Mike Kennedy (misidentified as working for Dark Horse Comics) at this weekend's C2E2 convention. At the very end of the interview Kennedy announces Vogster is "working on adding a single player aspect to that title. It's an MMO, right now it's very PvP focused, but were adding this single players campaign aspect that we're going to flesh out into this great big awesome episodic thing. " There's no word on when this new addition will be released with Kennedy stating, "It's very early in the works."

Lots of week-long sales on Steam this week

The folks at Steam are apparently not waiting until Thursday to spring some sales on their customers. The PC game download service has launched three separate sales that will last from now until October 5. One is for 25 percent off Angle of Attack and All Aspect Warfare, the two recently released sci-fi action games from developer 3000AD.

Yet another sale has three strategy titles from Kalypso Media (Officers, Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge and Grand Ages: Rome) on sale for 50 percent off their normal prices for the next week. Finally the recent FPS MMO title CrimeCraft is on sale for 25 percent off its normal Steam price until October 5.
