It's Bulletstorm release day. How many of you bought it today? Also how many of you checked out the Dragon Age 2 demo? Today sure was busy in PC gaming land:

• Dungeons and Dragons Online celebrates its fifth anniversary this week with new content and special events.
• Steam has a new minor update for Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch.
• Steam also has an automatic update for Star Ruler.
• A new entry in the official Bethesda Podcast has been released with company PR head Pete Hines answering fan questions.
• A new Kickstarter.com campaign has started to help fund the Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment in San Fransisco.

It's not really game related but how cool is it that "The Rock" showed up on Monday Night Raw last night? Ah, we are so old.

• Steam has a new automatic update available for the beta of Counter-Strike Source.
• Minecraft's creator Marcus "Notch" Persson is back from a two week vacation and is working on more updates.
• THQ will release a retail boxed version of Frictional Games' Amnesia The Dark Descent to US stores next week.
• As promised the open beta for the upcoming MMO Rift has started and will last until February 21.
• AMD has released the 11.2 driver updates for its Radeon graphics cards.
• There's going to be a Plants Vs Zombies board game in fall 2011.

We cannot tell you how disappointed we are about Digital Illusions' decision to cancel the promised PC port of Battlefield 1943. Is it ultimately a minor occurrence in the overall scheme of things? Sure. Will we still want to buy and play Battlefield 3? Of course. But it once again shows that for the most part publisher EA treats the PC as a second class citizen when it comes to multi-platform games.

• Steam has new automatic updates for A.R.E.S (including a new suit), Crasher, and Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch.
• The latest Irrational Games audio interview has Ken Levine chatting with Gearbox Software's Randy Pitchford.
• Bethesda Softworks has reportedly fired its second law firm in its continued fight with Interplay over the Fallout game license.
• Game Informer has a new podcast where Bethesda Softworks' Todd Howard answers fan questions about The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim.

There's some interesting stuff that we will be posting about early in the morning. Just a heads up.

• Steam has new automatic updates for Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch.
• From now until 1 pm Eastern time Tuesday you can get Darksiders for $9.99 over at Direct2Drive.
• You can now play Wolfenstein 3D in, well, 1D. It's as weird as it sounds.
• Check out this cool new Fallout fan film that's all about trying to find some Nuka Cola.
• Speaking of which someone has created their own Nuka Cola bottle and case design. Neat.

So, what do you think of THQ's new logo design? Personally we think it looks like a company logo for a new clothing retailer but that's just us.

• Cryptic Studios has revamped its web site and revealed it has at least one unannounced game in the works.
• Steam has a new automatic update available for download for the beta version of Counter-Strike Source.
• Steam also has the Mac version of Doc Clock The Toasted Sandwich of Time available to purchase and download.
• The next beta event weeken for the upcoming MMO Rift is scheduled to begin on January 25.

And so another week ends as we await the next week when the first big PC game of the year, DC Universe Online, will be released. Will this game make super hero MMO players forget all about City of Heroes or Champions Online?

• Steam has an automatic update available for Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike Source, Day of Defeat Source and Half-Life 2 Deathmatch.
• The Star Wars The Old Republic web site has added some more character biographies to check out.
• Medal of Honor-branded radio controlled vehicles are coming out later this year.
• We love cool PC case mods and this one that Nvidia showed off at CES 2011 may be one of our favorite.

It looks like our hardware feature will be delayed slightly. It's now scheduled to be ready to roll on the site sometime on Friday. In the meantime we are counting down the hours before 2010 ends. Has it really been 12 months?

• Steam has some automatic bug updates for the beta of Counter-Strike Source and for Hegemony: Phillip of Macedon.
• There's yet another piece of StarCraft II fictional lore available to read at the game's official web site.
• Game Informer has released the first public screenshots from the next Tomb Raider game which were part of the print magazine's cover story earlier this month.
• For your latest "cool Minecraft video" fix, check out this Rube Goldberg in-game machine.

Wow. We thought that the PR folks were taking the week off along with game developers but we actually got a few press releases in our email inbox today. It's like people are actually working this week.

• Steam has new automatic updates for the beta versions of Apox and Counter-Strike Source along with a new update for Beat Hazard.
• Some folks from the University of Southern California have created the latest Kinect PC mod that works with World of Warcraft.
• Here's the latest Quake Done Quick video. It's cool
• The fourth season of the hit MMO-themed internet sitcom the Guild is now available on DVD and iTunes.

The day before Christmas is the source of some last minute shopping by some. PC gamers have the opportunity to get some last minutes sales cuts from the Steam, Impulse and GamersGate web sites. On Impulse they have marked down Freedom Force Vs The Third Reich to just $4.99. GamersGate has Necrovision: Lost Company on sale today only for $4.99.

For a day that's only a few days away from THE BIG DAY, we certainly had a ton of news to report. Hopefully tomorrow things will actually slow down a tick:

• As promised, the first episode of the Back To The Future game series is now available for download at Telltale Game's web site.
• Steam has a number of updates today for games like Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, Blood Bowl Legendary Edition and Alternitiva,
• Steam also has a new Super Meat Boy update that adds the World of Goo ball to the game.
• Steam has a Worms Reloaded update that adds some community made content such as five single player maps, three multiplayer maps and more.
• The web browser based game site Kongregate is sponsoring a $25,000 Unity 3D game design contest.
• You can now check out how far Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam players have to go before unlocking the expansion's fifth map.
