Contest: iBuypower Paladin F870 "Un-DRM Me" Giveaway Contest

[Update] This contest has ended. A winner was selected and notified via email. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this contest a huge success.

Big Download has been giving away a bunch of hot games recently, and now we're looking to give a high-powered gaming computer away to one lucky winner. iBuypower, manufacturer of custom built high-performance gaming rigs, is partnering with Big Download to give away a brand-new Paladin F870-SB system, which uses the latest Intel Core i7 processor technology. This bad boy is completely decked out with 1 TB of hard drive space, 6 GB of RAM, two ATI 4870 video cards, 8-channel surround sound, a Blu-ray drive and a 20.1" Sceptre widescreen monitor. Check out the official iBuypower website for the full specs on this monster, which retails for $2,499.

Winning will require a little bit of detective work. Since there's so much fuss around DRM in PC gaming, we've decided to DRM the entire computer using old-school copy protection methods. Specifically, contestants will need to "check the manual" (our website) to complete a 5-word phrase. Email the completed phrase to contests@bigdownload.com to enter into the random drawing for the iBuypower Paladin F870 computer system.

Here are the directions:

1. Click on the image above or gallery link below for the clues
2. Follow the clues to find keywords planted within Big Download features to complete a 5-word phrase
3. Email the completed phrase to contests@bigdownload.com to be entered into the random drawing
4. Only one valid entry (with the correct phrase) allowed per person. Retries are accepted and won't count against participants.
5. Entries must be received by 11:59PM on December 8, 2008.

Click Here for complete Official Rules. You must be a resident of the US or Canada (excluding Quebec) who is 18 years or older to enter this contest.

Thanks to iBuypower for donating the prize for this giveaway.

Big Download has another contest for our readers today and this one is going to go fast. We've partnered up with Electronic Arts to offer our readers a way to get into the current beta test for Battleforge, the upcoming fantasy RTS-collectible card game from developer Phenomic that will be officially launched in early 2009.

In short, we have 200 beta codes for the game that we are going to give to our readers. This will be on a first come-first served basis. Once we give out the keys, there will be no more. How do you enter? It's simple. Just email us at contests@bigdownload.com with the subject line "Battleforge Beta Test Contest." The first 200 people to respond will get beta codes for the Battleforge beta test. You can grab the beta test installer right here at Big Download. If you don't get one of the codes, don't fret. You can still register for the beta test at Battleforgecardhunt.com.

Remember, this is just for the first 200 people who email us. Big thanks to EA for supplying the beta codes and the installer. Good luck.
