Hunted: The Demon's Forge trailer reveals the crucible

We have to admit that this trailer has us a bit intrigued. Until now, we weren't too interested in Hunted. After all, it looked like a fairly standard third-person action game. With the reveal of how the crucible works in detail, however, we're suddenly far more interested. Randomly-generated dungeons, with waves of monstrous enemies to fight off? This sounds like something we could get into, especially with another person. Plus, you can actually tweak the settings to fully customize the dungeon, making it your own instead of some machine-created bland killfest. We aren't normally impressed by trailers, but this one blew us away.

Operation Racoon City trailer wonders what the hell is going on

Capcom has been putting out plenty of stylish, multiplayer games lately. Lost Planet 2 and Marvel vs Capcom 3 both ooze style and encourage people to play together, either with or against each other. The latest entry in the Resident Evil series, Operation Raccoon City, seems to be a continuation of this. By this trailer alone, it looks like a fun zombie-killing co-op game, although there seem to be the occasional graphical glitch here and there. There's also an appearance by everybody's favorite Resident Evil 4 protagonist!

Sanctum of Slime trailer overpowers some ghosts

While this Sanctum of Slime trailer purports to be a developer diary, it's more of a co-op trailer. It features a developer voice-over hyping up the multiplayer features of the game and the various enemies without involving any in-depth discussion. Good gameplay footage and some information we haven't seen before, but not exactly what we'd call a "developer diary." Oh well. Those looking forward to the arcade-like Sanctum of Slime should definitely watch this trailer, but it certainly won't convert any newcomers.

Sanctum of Slime trailer brings in some ghostbusting partners

The classic Ghostbusters arcade game has four-player co-op, and the newest game in the movie-related franchise is continuing the tradition. This trailer for Sanctum of Slime has it all. Points! Multiple players! Ghosts! Actually, we're not quite sure it has it all, but it certainly does show a strong sense of arcade mechanics. Given the slightly poor reception of the Ghostbusters game, this might be a good thing.

War in the North trailer aims for authenticity

Developer interviews are the best way to get a look at both the process behind developing a game and just where the developer intends to go with it. This War in the North trailer does precisely that, and it's extremely interesting. The developers link the War in the North back into the original Lord of the Ring books, and discuss how they made it authentic and true to Tolkein's vision while still remaining unique and interesting. There is also some shots of new areas and new fights, including glimpses of Agandar's foreboding citadel.

Hunted: The Demon's Forge trailer avoids massive eyes

The few trailers we've seen for Hunted: The Demon's Forge have been primarily story and cinematic focused. This trailer, however, takes a decidedly different turn. It shows off the co-op action title from the player's perspective, and gives us plenty of juicy information on the game's mechanics. Our favorite is the combined force of both players working together, such as one player freezing an enemy while the other smashes it to pieces. However, it doesn't reveal how the combat is played, just how it looks from an external viewpoint.

Hunted: The Demon's Forge trailer sets along a familiar path

The world of Hunted is a dark, mysterious, and thoroughly grim place to live in. That's the general feel of this new trailer, which explores the universe that the upcoming co-op action game takes place in. With terrible evils, ancient kingdoms, and marching armies, it looks like it will be yet another fantasy universe for eager players to delve into. The art style of the trailer also seems to reflect this, with a distinct "decaying medieval" theme to it. We are, however, waiting for the really cool stuff that will set Hunted apart from its various peers.

Left 4 Dead 2 Guide: A Noble Sacrifice

Much like The Passing about six months ago, Valve has released a new campaign for Left 4 Dead 2. Please excuse the blatant self-reference, but we felt it relevant, as The Sacrifice feels very similar to The Passing. It's set in the same area, has a the same finale, and features throwbacks to the original Left 4 Dead. If you're struggling, however, there's a few tips and tricks you can use to get through the zombie hordes to survival. And despite being very similar to the last official campaign, it does change things up with new gameplay mechanics.

Portal 2 trailer explores the concept of robot companionship

While the above trailer - at first glance - may seem like the same co-op teaser we saw a while ago, it most certainly is not. Despite only having CGI footage, it manages to get across a number of important gameplay principles about Portal 2's co-op and be stylish as hell in the process. First, if you or your partner dies you simply come back with a new body. Second, you can interact with your partner's portals, and he can interact with yours. Third, robots really do love each other. Just look at that hug when he sees his friend again! Kidding aside, it's incredible how much personality Valve can put into a CGI trailer with no talking whatsoever. If you are at all excited for Portal 2 (you should be!), this trailer must be seen.

Portal 2 trailer shows the magic of friendship

In Portal, your only two companions were the ever-present spectre of death and the lovable, if inanimate, Companion Cube. However, Portal 2 wants to be much more friendly to the friendship of two repurposed androids. There will be no incineration here, we hope! This trailer is nothing more than a cinematic, although it can be interpreted as having some gameplay footage thanks to a brief first-person segment. It gives a good, if stylized, idea of what the players will be getting up to, and also feels free to casually invite anybody interested to PAX. If you are going, this means you get to have a helping of the new co-op mode before anyone else.
