Rift: Planes of Telara dev video summons an open-ended class system

In this video for the upcoming MMO Rift: Planes of Telara, the developers discuss one of the game's most unique features: an open-ended class system. After choosing a base class (Warrior, Rogue, Mage or Cleric), players will be able to select from a number of different disciplines. From there, players can level up those disciplines, referred to in the game as souls, to unlock and upgrade different skills. But the system takes things further by allowing players to mix and match abilities from up to three different souls, for incredible flexibility and powerful combinations.
