First two Brothers In Arms games finally coming to the Mac

Long before Borderlands, developer Gearbox Software made a name for its with its WWII themed tactical shooter series Brothers In Arms. However for some reason the series had never made it to the Mac platform. That's changing in April as Feral Interactive have announced their plans to port the first two PC Brothers in Arms games to Apple's machine.

Feral's game bundle, Brothers In Arms: Double Time, contains both Road to Hill 30 (released for the PC in 2005) and Earned In Blood (released in 2006). The native Mac ports will be released by Feral on April 16 for $29.95.

Brothers In Arms games on sale on Steam this weekend

Steam has now crancked out their regular weekly sale for their PC game download service and this time the sale involves Brothers In Arms, the acclaimed and historically accurate WWII tactical shooter series from developer Gearbox Software and publisher Ubisoft.

For this weekend only, all three of the Brothers in Arms games (Earned In Blood, Road to Hill 30 and Hell's Highway) have had their prices cut by 50 percent off their normal Steam price. There's also a new Brothers in Arms bundle pack where you can get all three games for just $19.99. That represents a 60 percent overall price cut for the games.

Steam offers free game with Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway pre-order

Those cool folks at Valve along with developer Gearbox Software and publisher Ubisoft are offering up a nice little pre-order offer if you purchase Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway via Valve's Steam service. Purchasing the WWII tactical shooter in advance of its mid-September release date will give you the first game in the series, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, absolutely free via Steam.

If you don't feel like getting the game via Steam you can still get some extra stuff if you purchase the retail Limited Edition of Hell's Highway from Ubisoft. Either way Gearbox seems determined to give players some extra value no matter what version of the game they purchase.
