While the
Entertainment Software Ratings Board has yet to officially announce this news, Capcom's official
Bionic Commando web site has decided to break the news to the general public early. The upcoming downloadable side-scroller remake
Bionic Commando Rearmed has been hit with an "M" rating by the ESRB. Why? Well the web site reveals the reason in a very funny way which we won't spoil here. All we will say is that people who remember the original
Bionic Commando game will have to recall the final scene of the original game. That's a big clue as to why the remake has managed to get a rating sufficient to keep most school aged kids from playing (allegedly).
Regardless, the now "M" rated
Bionic Commando Rearmed, developed by GRIN, is still slated for release later this spring as a downloadable title for the PC and other game platforms. GRIN and Capcom are also working on a full fledged third person next generation
Bionic Commando game that will also appear on the PC and other platforms later this year.
