Black Prophecy may primarily be an MMO, but that doesn't mean it's going to be skimping on the voice-overs. This video (more like a developer diary) explores the sound studio that is working in conjunction with Gamigo and Reakktor. In the process it shows off music and sound we've never heard before, including potential story-spoiling lines (although nothing we can really put in context). Developer diaries and behind-the-scenes videos are always incredibly informative and enlightening, and this one is no exception. It's safe to say we are becoming more and more excited for Black Prophecy.

It's almost hard to believe that the first Guild Wars game was released just over five years ago in 2005, but has had an impact that continues to resonate as fans eagerly look forward to Guild Wars 2. This fifteen minute video briefly recounts the history of ArenaNet and gives fans a more intimate look at the designers and a game company that takes a very artistic approach toward development.

The third developer diary video for Fallout: New Vegas discusses how the team approached designing the look of the Vegas area within the theme of a bombed out area that's in a retro 50s sci-fi style. Described as a playground the size of a city, the artists were allowed a great deal of creative freedom when designing the themed hotels and casinos. Additionally, the developers sought to capture Rat Pack era look for the game's characters, so suits and fedoras will be pretty commonplace when battling mobsters and whatever else lurks in Vegas and the surrounding area. Fallout: New Vegas is scheduled to release on October 19th.

Although Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days involves a story that centers on Lynch, a violent psychopath, the game will still involved two main characters. This opens the door to a two player cooperative campaign where players can choose between either character; working together to take down enemies and complete jobs. While on the subject of multiplayer, continue after the jump to watch a behind-the-scenes developer video featuring Kim Krogh, Director of Multiplayer for Kane & Lynch 2, who talks about greed, betrayal and all the other wonderful aspects of being a criminal. Players will get a chance to choose their roles and jump head first into the action when the game releases on August 17th.

The developers at 2K Czech working on Mafia II want to make sure that players have a rich, almost cinematic, feeling when playing the game. To this end, they designed the game engine from the ground up to fully immerse players, which includes dynamic lighting, the use of Nvidia PhysX technology, and dramatic cut scenes to tell the story. Of course, the developers haven't forgotten that the main goal is to design gameplay for people to enjoy. Continue after the jump to watch a two minute preview video that showcases a variety of gameplay elements by walking and driving to different locations, taking in the sights, and shooting them up. Mafia II is scheduled to release on August 24th.

Although Empire Bay, the city where Mafia II takes place, is heavily influenced by New York City, it's actually built using inspirations from a couple different American cities. Additionally, the video goes into detail on the use of music and developing the look to capture the 1950s feel for the story. Players will be able to explore the world extensively when the game releases on August 24th.

The latest developer diary for F1 2010 takes viewers behind the scenes and shows the process of creating the in-game cars so they look, handle and sound as close to their real-life counterparts as possible. Halfway through the video, the developers discuss the different track designs that will be featured in the game. F1 2010 is expected to release this fall.

The first Blacklight: Tango Down developer diary explained how players would be fighting a futuristic Netwar. In this latest addition, the developers discuss how players can express their personalities through the weapon customization system. By earning different achievements, players unlock interchangeable upgrades to improve performance. There will also be decorative charms available to attach onto guns that also provide special stat boosts. Blacklight: Tango Down will release later this summer.

To ensure a sense of authenticity in the Medal of Honor campaign, the developers at EALA consulted a number of Tier 1 special ops soldiers. The thinks of itself as a wolfpack, and they offer personal accounts of their jobs. The video above provides background on the special ops soldiers' mentality while the video after the jump goes more in-depth on the missions they go on. Medal of Honor is expected to release this fall on October 12th. The multiplayer beta is live now and the client can be downloaded here.

Coinciding with the recent news that The Witcher 2 will allow save game importing from The Witcher, this developer video discusses the story and characters players can expect in the sequel. As it turns out, as Geralt recovers more of his lost memories, he discovers that must learn to live with many of the horrible things he's done in life. The developers admit that this story is shorter in comparison to the first game, but it's compensated by the more engaging narrative. The team at CDProjekt go into great detail about putting together the story, but be aware that almost the entire video is subtitled.
