Battlefield Bad Company 2 to get its own DLC network
When BioWare released Mass Effect 2 last month it also included the Cerberus Network which let people who purchase the game as new to download free new content. Now comes word that another Electronic Arts product, Battlefield Bad Company 2, is also going to have a similar network.
MTV's Multiplayer web site reports that the upcoming first person shooter from Digital Illusions will have a "VIP code" with every new copy of the game. When entered the code opens up an DLC store that will have free content to download. In fact there will be new free multiplayer maps to download via the network on launch day. The code will be tied into the user's EA.com account so if you purchased a used copy of Battlefield Bad Company 2 you will likely have to pay extra to gain access to the DLC network.
