Square Enix published games are the subject of week long sales on both the Steam and Direct2Drive web site this week. Over at Direct2Drive the site has put all 40 Square Enix games on sale for 50 percent off for the next week.

Over at Steam it has put all 48 Square Enix games in one big bundle and put it on sale for just $74.99. That's a whopping 88 percent price cut from what each game would cost if you bought them seperately. Also Steam will cut one game from the publisher every day. For today that's Batman Arkham Asylum Game of the Year edition which has its price knocked down to a mere $7.50 until 1 pm Eastern time on Tuesday.

Batman Arkham Asylum gets big Steam sale this weekend

While we wait for more info and screenshots to be released for Batman: Arkham City. the first Batman game from developer Rocksteady is ready for yet another sale. Yep, the Game of the Year edition of Batman: Arkham Asylum has a big price cut at the Steam PC game download service.

Normally priced at $39.99, the Game of the Year edition is now on sale via Steam for just $13.60, a 66 percent discount. The game is almost a steal at that price and if you have not yet played it you need to do so before Batman: Arkham City comes out.

It's a sale. Yes, you know them and love them. Especially if its a great game that you have been waiting for a long time to buy. Today might be the day if you have been waiting to purchase Batman: Arkham Asylum. From now until Thursday the 2009 super hero action game is on sale via Steam.

Batman Arkham Asylum action figures revealed

How many action figures based on Batman do you think have been released? The answer for some of you might be, "Way too many," and others might say, "Not close to enough." Well we will soon have another set of figures based on the Caped Crusader. The magazine Toyfare (via the Previewsworld web site) has announced they will have the exclusive reveal of the Batman: Arkham Asylum action figures in their June 2010 issue.

The line, from DC Direct, is of course based on the hit Rocksteady-Eidos-Warner Bros. Interactive game from 2009 that will soon be re-released as a Game of the Year version in May. There's not much info on what the action figure line will contain or when they will be available; obviously the magazine issue will be the first place to get the details.

Batman Arkham Asylum Game Of The Year coming in May

If you haven't picked up Batman: Arkham Asylum yet, you might want to hold off for a couple of extra months. Square Enix-Eidos has just announced that the Game of the Year edition of the acclaimed super hero action game will ship to the US in May (the Game of the Year edition is already announced for a UK release in late Match).

In addition to the original game developed by Rocksteady Studios, the Game of the Year edition will add four new challenge maps. It will also come with 3D gaming support via TriOviz. As we reported last week, their 3D method revolves around putting a software wrapper around the game which enables 3D gaming without the need for special monitors. The game will come with two 3D glasses.
