Sims 3 trailer gets smart

Everyone knows that sims aren't the smartest virtual things in the world, but this trailer for The Sims 3 aims to prove otherwise. Not only will the upcoming game expand the scope of the game to neighborhoods and towns, but the new breed of sims will be smart enough to take care of themselves and follow user-programmed behavior patterns without constant supervision.

Empire: Total War presents more superior tactics

This new entry in the "Superior Tactics" series of Empire: Total War videos is presented by Game Designer Jack Lusted, who works on unit balancing and AI tactics. Like in the previous video, he tests his skills against his own work while highlighting computer behavior and tactics, with specific advice on how to counter heavy cavalry. Be aware that Jack talks pretty quickly in this video. The Empire: Total War demo is currently available exclusively through Steam.

Empire: Total War video demonstrates superior tactics

In this presentation video, Richard Bull - Battle AI Programmer for Empire: Total War - tests his skills against his own work. The tactics used by the computer are based on real historical events, and players will have to use their skills as commanders to overcome them.

FEAR 2 developers go way deep behind-the-scenes

Three new videos released for F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, all going behind-the-scenes on the game's development. The first trailer discusses the sophisticated artificial intelligence (featured above), which the first F.E.A.R. was famous for, and the second talks about the improved game engine itself. The last video is slightly more humorous and highlights the people who help make game development possible but none of the glory, the Information Technology people.
