Razer Abyssus Mirror Special Edition announced

Do you want some bling to go with your high end PC gaming mouse? Razer think you need some flash added to your mousing experience. Today the company announced a new version of its previously released Abyssus model in a Mirror Special Edition. What does that mean? Well it means this version of the Abyssus has a black chrome mirror finish on its surface.

The mouse still contains all the technical features of the original model including support for 3500 dpi sensitivity. The new Abyssus is now available to purchase on the Razerzone.com web site for $49.99. It will be made available in retail stores soon.

Razer to team up with League of Legends for special promotions

Riot Games' free-to-play multiplayer action-RTS game League of Legends continues to add new champions and content. Now the developer is teaming up with gaming PC controller and product maker Razer to give players of League of Legends some special editions of Razer's products.

Razer will begin selling specially marked versions of their Razer Abyssus gaming PC mouse (shown above) that will have codes that can be used to unlock two exclusive in-game runes that can be used in League of Legends. In addition, Razer plans to sell a special version of their Razer Sphex gaming PC mouse pad with artwork and characters from the game. Finally Razer and Riot Games plan to sponsor a League of Legends online gaming tournament with cash prizes going to the winners.

Razer launches new Abyssus gaming PC mouse

The folks at Razer have been very busy of late as they have announced the launch of either a new PC gaming mouse or a improved version of a previous product nearly every month. In July they announced the release of their Orochi laptop gaming mouse and in August they revealed their Naga MMO mouse. In September they even launched an improved version of their previous DeathAdder mouse product.

They managed to skip October but today Razer has yet another brand new gaming PC mouse product to reveal. It's called the Abyssus and this mouse is being designed and priced for someone who wants a Razer but who doesn't want to pay the usual premium price for one. The $49.99 Abyssus has an ambidextrous design with three programmable buttons and support for up to 3500 dpi sensitivity. The mouse is now available to purchase at Razer's web site and will be available in stores worldwide by the end of the year.
