Majesty 2: Monster Kingdom released

Publisher Paradox Interactive's latest downloadable expansion pack is now available. It's Majesty 2: Monster Kingdom, the third and final expansion pack for the village sim-RPG game from developer 1C Company. The expansion was previously due to be released last December but got pushed back to this month.

Priced at $14.99, Monster Kingdom adds a new campaign with eight missions called Exiles of Fate. The campaign has you playing an exlied king who has to gather a group of monsters to retake the kingdom. Paradox has also cut the price of Majesty 2 and the first two expansion packs by 75 percent this week.

Two Paradox Interactive expansion packs delayed to January 2011

The already sparse December PC game release schedule just got even smaller. Publisher Paradox Interactive announced today that two downloadable expansion packs due out this month, Majesty 2 Monster Kingdom and King Arthur The Druids, have had their released dates pushed back until sometime in January 2011.

Paradox blamed the delay on a big fight at the Paradox Christmas party where "five Monsters and seven Druids ended up in hospital" (Hey, we have all been there and done that. Am I right ladies?). Paradox still has one more expansion pack due for release this year as Europa Universalis III Divine Wind is schedule to be released on December 14.

This Week In PC Games - December 6-12

While there are other PC games planned for released later in December this is the final week of the year that we will see multiple major game releases. That includes a huge MMO expansion, the next game in a very popular casual puzzle game series and a game based on a much beloved movie franchise.

World of Warcraft Cataclysm - Blizzard is doing something a little different for its third expansion pack for its massively popular MMO game series. In addition to adding two new playable races, new quests and dungeons, a raise in the level cap and more, some of the earlier game zones are getting a makeover with new quests replacing some old ones as well as other changes.

This Week In PC Games: November 8-14

While the big release in this week's new PC game lineup won't sell nearly as much as the console versions it's still likely to be one of the best selling PC games of the year. There's also a new expansion pack for one of 2009's releases.

Call of Duty Black Ops: Developer Treyarch brings us this latest game in the mega-selling military shooter franchise. The game has a Cold War setting with a globe trotting single player campaign. Look for new multiplayer modes like wage matches and the PC version has support for dedicated servers (although gamers will have to buy them from an authorised source). Oh and the zombies are back ...

Majesty 2: Battles of Ardania announced; coming November 9

The very busy month of March continues with two big retail game releases, a downloadable expansion pack and the launch of an MMO made by just one person:

Just Cause 2: Developer Avalanche Studios and Square Enix give us another massive open world action game as your player character, Rico Rodriguez runs, drives, flies and swims in the fictional Eastern Asian island nation of Panau. PC gamers have to have either Windows 7 or Windows Vista and at least a DirectX 10 compatible graphics card to play the PC port of the game. Sorry, Windows XP PC users.

Majesty 2: Kingmaker expansion announced

Publisher Paradox Interactive continues its week of new game announcements today with the reveal of Majesty 2: Kingmaker. The new expansion to their 2009 revival of the classic fantasy strategy-sim game from developer 1C Company will be released as a digital download only product sometime later this quarter.

The expansion will add a new campaign called (and we aren't kidding) "Return of Grum-Gog". The eight story missions put the player against "Lord Blackviper and his army of goblins." Naturally you have to deal with this threat to the land of Ardania. The expansion will cost $19.99 to download when it's released.
