We hope that folks in the US will enjoy their Labor Day holiday tomorrow. We will still be here on Monday to report on any news that might pop up during the day:

• Steam has posted up new minor updates to both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2.
• Lord of the Rings Online will have a Head Start on its free-to-play relaunch on September 8 for current and former subscribers for the MMO. The free-to-play relaunch opens for everyone else September 10.
• GameStop's web site is offering free overnight shipping for upcoming Bethesda Softworks games Hunted The Demon's Forge, Fallout: New Vegas, Brink, and Rage until September 10 if you put in the code PAXBETH at checkout.

Wow! Gamescom hasn't even started yet (officially anyway) but there sure were a ton of PC game exclusive announcements today. Apparently if you want to announce a PC only game, go to Germany:

• New bug fix updates were released via Steam for Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike Source and Day of Defeat: Source.
• There's also a new update to Garry's Mod available for download
• Steam also has an update for the Counter-Strike Source beta build.
• GoG.com has added the Total Annihilation: Commander Pack (the original game and its two expansions) to its DRM-free library.
• Did you know there's a game based on the TV show Criminal Minds that's due out in December? Now you do.
• Brink is sponsoring the 2010 European Parkour tour for some reason.
• Fallout: New Vegas pre-order specials for Europe, South Africa and Australia have been revealed.
• Speaking of which check out these pictures of the various voice actors in Fallout New Vegas in their recording sessions. Hey, its Wayne Newton, dude!

At QuakeCon 2010, the development team from Splash Damage showed off playable versions of its upcoming sci-fi shooter Brink. But at a special presentation held at this show on Saturday it was revealed that folks who pre-order the game at GameStop will be able to get some exclusive and very cool in-game items related to id Software's Doom series.

Specifically, the GameStop pre-order will get players some Doom related clothing items for your Brink player character such as a hat with the classic Doom logo, a "Hellspawn" tattoo and t-shirts with the Doom logo and one that looks like your character is wearing the game's light armor. You can also get Doom related skins for your character's machine gun. Brink is currently due for release in 2011.

Update: IGN reveals even more pre-order bonuses for Brink including special in-game items exclusive for Amazon.com, Direct2Drive, Steam and Best Buy. Best Buy has Fallout-based in-game items.
