Alien vs Predator players can look forward to four new maps packed together in the Bughunt DLC pack, scheduled to release on July 7th. Bughunt includes the maps "Crash Site," "Furious," "Monument," and Tempest. Two of these maps will support Survival mode, where four Marines join together to stand against an increasing horde of Aliens. Additionally, all four maps will feature environmental hazards and all new weather effects. The Bughunt Map Pack will cost $6.99 and can be purchased on Steam when it releases.

You can't get much cheaper than this week's Midweek Madness sale over at the Steam PC game download service. From now until Thursday you can purchase the original Aliens Vs Predator shooter from developer Rebellion for just $1.99. This is the game that is now known as Aliens Versus Predator Classic 2000.

Just a reminder; this game was first released back in 1999 by the now defunct Fox Interactive. This version of the game contains the original title plus the content that was added to the game via the 2000 expansion pack. Of course Rebellion recently returned to the AVP game franchise with Sega's February released title.

This patch for the ATI Catalyst drivers addresses an issue with Aliens vs Predator where the game would hang or freeze when switching to DirectX 11 graphics from within the game using the ATI Radon HD 4700 and 4800 series video cards. It also resolves an issue when mouse cursor becomes enlarged at random while using Windows 7.

Previous Aliens vs Predator gameplay videoes have already revealed the point of view of both the Predator and Marine. Now it's time to see things through the eyes of the Alien 'Xenomorph' species, which can crawl along ceilings and walls to sneak up on opponents and impale them with its tale, claw at them, or bite their faces off. Aliens vs Predator releases next week on February 16.

Although it may seem like humans are at a disadvantage when it comes to battling against other species, it turns out heavy firepower goes a long way toward holding off the alien menace... at least for a little while. Aliens vs Predator releases on February 16.

In the battle between incredibly dangerous Predator and Aliens, it's easy to dismiss the human marines. However, Aliens vs Predator gives humans a fighting chance with powerful weapons and armor. Although a Predator relies heavily on stealth and high-tech alien technology, playing as one requires a certain degree of planning and strategy to separate out prey and take them out. When you think about it, enemies don't stand much of a chance. Players get to figure out their roles as hunters or prey when Aliens vs Predator releases on February 16th.

After the success of the original Aliens vs Predator from a decade ago, the developers at Rebellion are faced with the challenge of bringing the gameplay to the next level with the new Aliens vs Predator. In this video, the team compares the two games and how the follow-up dials up the intensity for a spectacular sci-fi horror experience. Aliens vs Predator releases on February 16th and the original classic game can be purchased via Steam now.

One of the great things about a game like Aliens vs Predator is the wide variety of colorful moves players can employ as a human Marine, Alien or Predator to finish off enemies with gruesome results. Players will be able to pull off these moves themselves when the game releases on February 16th.

While developer Rebellion is getting close to completing their reimagined version of Aliens Vs Predator, the UK developers are also planning to re-release their original 1999 PC AVP game as Aliens Vs Predator Classic.

The re-release will be made available via Steam at a budget price but will only contain the single player campaigns from the first person shooter at first. However Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley has told IGN they plan to add the game's multiplayer support later as a free download. There's no word on when AVP Classic will be released but it sounds like Rebellion plans to make it available before their new AVP game is released by Sega in mid-February.
