Uwe Boll's own video game gets first trailer
We mentioned Thursday that super duper film director Uwe Boll will have his latest film, the adaptation of Crytek's FPS Far Cry, debut in German theaters on October 2. However, he has a ton of upcoming projects in the works, including one that's been known for some time now. 1968 Tunnel Rats is being developed as both a movie and as a game at the same time and Gametrailers has the first video footage of the game portion of this project (Boll is reportedly heavily involved in the game's development.
Both the game and the upcoming movie are Vietnam War themed projects as US Army troops attempt to get the enemy out of their man-made tunnel bases. The game was developed by Replay Studios (the same folks behind 2009's Velvet Assassin) but Replay doesn't seem to want to be associated with this game; their recently relaunched web site has no mention at all of 1968 Tunnel Rats. The trailer states the game is coming out this fall but we suspect that's for Europe; there's no word on a US release for either the game or movie.
