Syndicate
The cyberpunk movement in sci-fi literature was in full swing when Syndicate was released in 1993. The Bullfrog-developed game is still thought of as a prime example of great real-time tactical strategy.
Controlling a futuristic mega corporation, the player gave commands to a team of cyber-enhanced agents on missions to take out rival forces. It was adult, violent and very addictive
Bullfrog quickly released an expansion pack, American Revolt, that also came out in 1993. Many have wondered about a revival of Syndicate, including Bullfrog's founder Peter Molyneux. Rumors are that Starbreeze and EA are working on such a project but nothing has not been officially announced.
