The College Try: Failed PC Ports Of Console Games

Electronic Arts' big cash cow is always the their Madden NFL games. They have tried to make other football titles in the past (NFL Street comes to mind) but none of them have had Madden's longevity. PC gamers always shared in playing a version of the game with their console counterparts

At least they did until 2008 when EA Sports head Peter Moore decided to no longer release PC versions of Madden NFL and indeed of most of their sports line-up (Only their NHL and FIFA franchises got PC releases this year). Moore said that sales were the main reason but this decision got a ton of PC sports fans upset. Moore claims they are working to get their sports franchies back on the PC in some way but for now it seems sports fans have to buy a console to enjoy official NFL game action.
