The College Try: Failed PC Ports Of Console Games

Fable: The Lost Chapters
Lionhead's fantasy RPG got a ton of great reviews and sales when it was released for the original Xbox in 2004. Yet it took Lionhead a year to port the game over to the PC. By this time they decided to add a lot of new content to the game. It was so much that they decided to rename the game as Fable: The Lost Chapters.
Much like Gears of War, the PC port also got good reviews when it was released in 2005 yet again the game wasn't as successful on the PC as it was for the Xbox. Again we expect that part of the reason was the year long delay in between versions. With Lionhead's founder Peter Molyneux saying that in his opinion the PC game market is in "tatters" we don't expect to have much hope of a PC version of Fable 2.
