The College Try: Failed PC Ports Of Console Games

Devil May Cry 4
It's yet another Capcom game port but at least this one isn't the tragedy that Resident Evil 4 turned out to be. The latest installment of the hyper-fast third person action game had a PC port come out only a few months after the console versions in 2008. It also had support for both DirecX9 and DirectX10 and Capcom even threw in some new gameplay modes.
So why did the sales not match the reviews and features. Part of the problem was that the Devil May Cry 4 port really played best with a gamepad rather than the conventional mouse-keyboard set-up. Considering most PC gamers use the mouse-keyboard feature for games we wonder why more wasn't done to make the game more friendly to use in this mode.
