Left 4 Dead
Release date - mid-November
After making us play for cake and shooting team members in a cartoon world, Valve and Turtle Rock want you to shoot zombies and lots of them. Left 4 Dead is all about co-op (even when you play alone with AI buddies) as you try to get out of the city filled with the undead.
Chances of success: Great. Valve doesn't let its fans down and this shooter, while somewhat mindless, is also terrific fun with pals. Oh and we can expect lots of extra content after its release.
