However you feel about his games (and we know that some of you out there want The Sims franchise to just go away) there's no doubt that Will Wright is one of the most creative and smartest game designers in the industry. When Spore was first revealed as a major surprise during a GDC speech way back in March 2005 the audience was blown away by the concept behind Spore. It's an idea that only Wright could have come up with and it's only Wright and his Maxis development team at Electronic Arts that can pull it off successfully. 03/09/08
